Concealment is a value that affects the player's level of detection. A higher concealment rating is equal to a lower detection risk, and vice versa. Basically, the higher the concealment the slower you get caught.
Concealment requirement[]
The concealment requirement per detection point uses the following formula:[1]

Increasing[]
Concealment is typically increased by equipping low protection armour (such as the Suit) and high concealment weapons, such as the Honey Badger, P90, G17 and P250. It can also be increased by owning certain skills, such as Inner Pockets and aced Infiltrator. With Optical Illusions, suppressed weapons gain additional concealment points, adding to the player's total.
Usage[]
High concealment is preferable when combined with skills like Low Blow and Artful Dodger, as these skills will increase the player's critical hit/dodge chance by a certain percentage depending on concealment.
